Mirna Velasquez was born and raised in Santa Ana. As a product of SAUSD schools, she looks forward to continuing her commitment to serving and giving back to her community. Mirna is married to Ernesto Dominguez, a proud mother of 5 children and has her own business consulting firm.
As a single mother at the age of 14 years old, Mirna courageously raised her child while understanding that education was the only avenue to better her and her son’s opportunities to succeed in the future. While Mirna persevered to advance her education and her career, she worked three jobs at one time.
At the age of 15, one of Mirna’s first jobs was in a dental office. By moving up the corporate ladder in the dental industry, Mirna soon became sought out for her knowledge and experience in the field. This is what led to her career as a dental business consultant. In this role, Mirna gives expert advice in the following strategic areas: Management and Practice; Health and Safety Regulation; Profitability and Staffing; and Legal Compliance.
After earning her degree in Business at the University of Phoenix, Mirna continued her education in two graduate programs. She completed her Master’s in Education (K-12), and is currently working on completing her Master’s in Corporate Education.
More recently, the demands of her business consulting services have required her to focus solely on building her firm. As a result, Mirna has since branched out into several other business forums, including but not limited to retail, restaurant, entertainment and corporate relocation services, advising businesses on their needs relating to growth, finance, supply and demand, and client services.
On her free time she volunteers and is in partnership with Divine Grace of Orange County ministry, which helps residents in Orange County by meeting a variety of needs: clothing, applying for jobs, job training, food and amongst many more services as they celebrate their faith.
Due to Mirna’s hard work and dedication to improving her and her family’s quality of life, she now enjoys dedicating her time to her family, faith, work and investing in projects that will better the city she lives in, Santa Ana.
